Introducing Lacuna

Introducing Lacuna, a new network led by 3 Margate based arts and education organisations: Arts Education Exchange, Open School East and Turner Contemporary.

The first session of Lacuna will consist of an introduction talk from all 3 organisations and a workshop led by Arts Education Exchange.

Join us for our first session on the 19th October at Turner Contemporary for the intro to the network and a workshop: What’s the problem with creativity? led by Arts Education Exchange.

The network is aimed at teachers and educators across the region to share and develop their knowledge and approach to creative learning. Underpinned by creativity, curiosity and critical thinking and making use of the cultural context of Thanet.

We aim to invite an open dialogue across sectors and communities, building on the area's rich tapestry of history and innovation to nurture a culture of learning. With our joined up expertise, knowledge and resources in social practice, education and access we want to open up opportunity, discourse and practice.
