VOTCY: Voices of the Creative Youth
VOTCY are a youth-led collective, established through AEE’s aim to find more and better ways to involve young people in our decision making processes.
In their words VOTCY aim to:
Tell their stories creatively
Raise awareness of issues that matter to them
Build a community of care and support for young people experiencing challenges
The group represents a broad range of backgrounds and experiences that have come together through their participation at AEE.
Towards the end of 2024, VOTCY explored their own experiences and memories of our space through various art forms. Their aim was to make sure they are heard during our crowdfunding campaign and shout about why creative spaces are so important for young people.
Their powerful multimedia art installation was projected just steps away from our space in Margate.
